Past International Director Gary Tschache

Gary Tschache, of Bozeman, Montana, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 86th International Convention, held in Denver, Colorado, USA, June 30-July 4, 2003. Past Director Tschache is self-employed. A member of the Bozeman Gallatin Empire Lions Club since 1975, Past Director Tschache has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chair, Leadership chair, Extension chair, multiple district membership chair and SightFirst Sector coordinator. Additionally he served as a presenter at the 1983 International Convention. He also presented the affiliate membership at the North American Membership Summit and was a presenter at two USA/Canada forums. In recognition of his service to the association he has received numerous awards, including three club Lion of the Year Awards, 18 Club President’s Appreciation Awards, 12 District Governor’s Appreciation Awards, the 100% District Governor Award, the International Leadership Award, two International President’s Awards, the Grand Master Membership Key and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor bestowed upon association members. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, a Multiple District 37 Hall of Fame inductee and has had perfect attendance for 29 years. In addition to his Lion activities, Past Director Tschache is active in numerous professional and community organizations. In the past, he served as first finance chair for Bozeman United Way, Special Olympics Montana State Games Competition chair, State of Montana Petroleum board member and chair, and Montana State Special Olympics co-chair. He is also the recipient of the 1994 Montana State University/Bozeman Chamber of Commerce Businessman of the Year Award and the 1999 Bozeman Chamber of Commerce Guy Sperry Award. Past Director Tschache and his wife, Candy, also a Lion and Melvin Jones Fellow, have four children.
