To all Club Presidents::
Because of the many questions I have received on the Can-Media Digital project, I have enclosed Can-Media’s proposal in detail. I hope this clears up any previously unanswered questions. For the information of all clubs, but especially the Clubs that supported the Alberta History Book Project on the first go around, this grant may be applied for once a year. So, unless you have a similar type of grant request on the go, you can again go for this one. Hope to get the support we need as our deadline is drawing near.

Yours in Lionism

DG Bill Engram 37-L

February 14,2007

Can Media Inc., publisher of the 13 volume Alberta in the 20th Century History Book Series is seeking corporate partners to develop this series into a DVD series and searchable digital database on the history of Alberta.

This production would be the most extensive video footage and historical database on the history of Alberta ever produced. The data would be collected from the 13 volume history books including: over 1,000,000 words, 4,000 photographs, maps and drawings. The videos would also include historical video clips, sound, interviews and full narration. The production would include the years prior to 1900 up to 2005. Our goal would be to have an interview with each of the living premiers along with the current Prime Minister.
